
Pihak acara Critics Choice Awards 2024 secara resmi mengumumkan kategori televisi yang masuk dalam nominasi tahun depan. Acara ini dijadwalkan akan digelar pada 14 Januari 2024.
Nantinya, acara ini akan dipandu oleh Chelsea Handler dan disiarkan langsung melalui The CW pukul 19.00-22.00 ET. Untuk nominasi kategori film, pihak acara akan sudah diumumkan pada 13 Desember 2023. Acara yang akan digelar tahun depan ini, diproduseri oleh Bob Bain Productions dan Berlin Entertainment.
Barbie menjadi film yang mendapatkan nominasi terbanyak pada ajang penghargaan Critics Choice Awards 2024. Film karya Greta Gerwig ini total mendapatkan 18 nominasi dan memecahkan rekor terbanyak sepanjang apresiasi film ternama itu digelar.
Barbie juga turut dinominasikan pada kategori bergengsi Film Terbaik. Selain itu, film ini juga dinominasikan untuk kategori Komedi Terbaik. Adapun, 16 kategori lainnya yang didapat oleh para kru film yang populer sepanjang 2023 ini.
Selain Barbie, film Oppenheimer karya Christopher Nolan dan Poor Things karya Yorgos Lanthimos juga sukses besar. Masing-masing mendapat 13 nominasi termasuk film terbaik.
